Thrifty Thursdays: DIY Jewelry Organizer Using Milk Glass

I saw a pin a few weeks back using milk galss to display jewelry
 and just adored the classy and unique look. 

Then I thought, hey, I can do that!

My mom is an avid milk glass collector (create557) and has some truly 

amazing pieces so I have been exposed to their beauty before. 

I decided to hit up a Savers after work last week and see what I could find.

Score!!!

Next step was to thoroughly clean and display my little treasures! 

I picked my favorite and most used jewelry and got to work.

NOTD: Pink Saturdays - Revlon Parfumerie & Hard Candy

Here's my mani of the moment!

So by now, you all know I love the Revlon Parfumeries, or at least most of them. 

Although Pink Pineapple (left) is a beautiful baby pink cream, it applies streaky 

and even after 3 thick applications when I thought I had it...nope, still streaks. 

So I gave up. Womp Womp. 

But the scent...oh my Lord! Amazing, I can't even pinpoint what it smells like. Sweet

but not candy, not fruity or floral, just amazing-ness! I applied on Tuesday

and the scent just started fading Friday night. And still no wear! Too bad

it's a streaky, no wear, mess.

As for Hard Candy's Little Bo Pink (cutest name!), the color itself is so pretty. 

It's a dense hot pink shimmer over a slightly tinted pink base. The pictures here are 

after 2 coats and one nail is actually really streaky.

But no chips and absolutely NO WEAR! Which is more than I can say for other Hard

Candy glitters. Granted, this is a shimmer and not a glitter.

A Case of the Mondays

Did you ever have a case of the Mondays?

Be honest!

Mondays can be difficult. One one hand, it's the start of a new week. The beginning of

what could be a productive, entertaining, satisfying 5 days.

But on the other hand, it's the dreaded end of an all-too-short weekend. And just

reminds you that the next weekend is far far away.

I am that person that finds it hard to jumpstart the work week but I'm

trying to complain less and fake it 'til I make it. Force a smile...after a cup of coffee...

and face the day head on, ready for anything (or almost anything!).

So will you join me in an 'attempt' to embrace Monday as the beginning

of something that could potentially be great?

And having a good cup of Joe will definitely help!
