REVIEW: Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow

Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow
Outrageous Metallic Purple
.12OZ. $16 on sale for $7

The world was going crazy at the end of last year when these shadows were out
of stock on Sephora’s site. They were selling like hot cakes and people couldn’t get enough.

Now I know why. Intensely pigmented with a truly unique chrome effect, it’s a shimmer...
without being a shimmer. I think it’s the perfect mix of a powder and baked shadow
while still maintaining a ridiculously creamy texture.

It is suggested that you mix the color on the back of your hand before applying for
even application and to apply with a brush. Personally, I prefer my favorite tool,
my finger, to pigment packed swatch directly to the lids.

Gorgeous, just gorgeous!

If you're interested in some other great blogs, as usual I'm going to suggest
checking out Katherine's Blog, Katherine's Corner. She has a beautiful site and there are
SO many wonderful blogs that link up on Thursdays.

Enjoy!

NOTD: Vampy Purple & Winter Silver

It's that time again, for me to fawn all over Zoya & OPI polishes again!
These are my favorite polishes by far, application, formulation, opacity...perfection!

OPI's Russian Navy was a gift from Little Miss Andee in our swap last month (see swap video here).
I thought it was funny that it was 'navy' but looked purple but depending on lighting this polish
changes from a deep purple to navy, it's like getting 2 for the price of 1!

Zoya's Trixie is one of the best silvers I've ever seen, it applied perfectly in 1 coat and is so shiny!

This L'Oreal Matte Velvet Top Coat is awesome! I have a few matte top coats from
other brands that are just kind of blah. But this makes my nail feel so smooth and
it's gorgeous. I used it over Russian Navy and Trixie just to see the variations.

Have you tried any of these polishes? Are there colors or top coats you can recommend?
I'm loving these shiny bold nails for Winter, what about you?

January IPSY Bag!

Let's just say I'm not too impressed with January's 2014. Womp Womp. If any of you watch my IPSY videos on YouTube you know there are rarely products I don't like. I love IPSY and that hot pink mailer it comes in.

Well this month was kind of a dud for me, which makes me sad. For one, I have a HealthSexyHair texturizing spray bottle already from IPSY. It's a nice product but nothing exciting considering we get stuff like this all the time.

The Mica Beauty tinted lip balm in 'natural' is also sub par for me. It smoothed onto my lips nicely however, dried up within 5 minutes leaving no moisturization. Again, another dud.

The Smooth Shadow pencil from Elizabeth Mott in Penny was one of the only items I actually enjoyed. It's creamy and smooth and applied nicely.

The Nourish Organic Moisturizing Face Lotion smells AMAZING but is thin and runny. I didn't feel like my skin 'drank' it up.

The LeAnni Eco Revolution 3-in-1 is a moisturizer, serum and toner. Now this I loved. It doesn't have a strong scent at all but my skin loves this and getting 3 products in 1 is awesome. The only fail is that the actual product filled less than half the sample container I was sent.

Overall, the bag wasn't horrible but left me wanting more. Maybe I"m so disappointed because I usually love my IPSY bags. This has to be a first for me! In no way am I saying that it's not worth it or that you shouldn't sign up. Each month I am over the moon excited with what I get so I'll let this month go.

I'm still excited for February! Check out my video with swatches and full reviews! What did you get in your IPSY bag???

NOTD: Revlon Parfumerie & Maybelline Brocades

Here's another Revlon Parfumerie Nail Polish that I surprisingly love!
I didn't think I'd love Fresh Linen, the color or scent.

I tend to gravitate toward bolder or sparkly colors. But this is just so....fresh!

I really do love the color, although this took 3 coats and I could
still see the white tips of my nails through the polish. Not good! As for the scent,
it smells like clean laundry with a bit of perfume. Not too strong but definitely detectable.
Bad news guys, it chipped the SAME DAY! Why God, why!?!?

Maybelline Color Show's Brocade Collection is gorgeous and
Gilded Rose is no acception. It applied perfectly in 2 thin coats and creating a
gradient was very easy.

The gold and pink shimmer and glitter are mixed in a clear
base however, so much comes out evenly during application. This is definitely one
of the easiest glitters I've ever used. And one of the prettiest!

Have you tried the Revlon Parfumeries or Maybelline Brocades?

What do you think? Let me know below!

2014 Aspirations & Products I Want to Finish Up!

Happy New Year!

I hope 2013 was good to everyone an dI'm sorry I haven't posted in a while.
I just started a new job and have been so busy and tired…like the rest of you all
I'm sure!

So hopefully I can say I'm baaaack!

I'm hoping to post more regularly and learn more about blogging and
formatting and all that good boring stuff that will make you happy.

Please check out my most recent post, a collab with GlamMoms2013.

I'm really excited (as usual) because we decided to post 10 (or a few more) products
we really wanted to finish in 2014 and more importantly, share a few of our
2014 goals…not resolutions!

People tend to take the term 'resolution' as such a joke, unfortunately, I do too.
But we chose the terms goals and aspirations because they are more like
life changes not just short term hopes.

From health and beauty to home and relationships. Check out my video to see
what I'm planning for the upcoming year and join me for the ride!

While we're at it…share with me some things you'd like to focus on this upcoming year.
Come on, no judgment. Let's support and encourage each other!

watch here

And you know I'm going to send you over to Katherine's Corner
and her co-hosts for some amazing blogs!

Fall/Winter Online Finds

When I was younger I loved the mall. Not now. Not the parking, not the abrupt stops
people make for no apparent reason in the halls, not the long lines. Online is where it's at and
now retailers make it SO easy to buy just about everything online.

My first stop is always EBATES. This site is seriously a hidden gem. I don't know how
they make their money and I don't care! Sign up (click the link above) and type in whatever
site you want to shop on then click the site link if it's on Ebates and you're
automatically rerouted to that site.

You place your order just like you normally would. Each site has a different percentage of cash back. Sephora and Ulta are usually about 4% cash back but sometimes jump to 8-10%. At the end of each quarter, Ebates will mail you a check. I just got one for $41.13. Not bad!

Now let's get to the goods!!!

I'm pretty obsessed with flash sale sites like Rue La LA and HauteLook
which most of you know about.

Here are just a few of my recent finds...let me know what you think!
(Earring Cuff from Hautelook $8)

Forever 21 Opulent Filigree Bib $8.80

HauteLook Boot Boutique Less than $35

HauteLook Shoe Boutique $12

What I Got for Christmas!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had as amazing a holiday season
as I did. I am so blessed to have great family and friends around me.

This past year has been more than I could ever ask for. I had a lot of ups
and downs but ended the year "UP". I started my beauty YouTube channel
and my blog, things I have been wanted to do for a while but always too scared.

2013 was all about taking chances. 2014 is going to be about embracing
those chances and making everything bigger and better.

My main focus is going to be consistency and quality content.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me through 2013...this year is going to be awsome!

As usual, let me know what you'd like to see, read, hear, watch, etc. I'm here for YOU!!!

And check out my most recent video, What I Got For Christmas! And please visit
