Makeup Collection Downsize: Blushes

I know it sounds rediculous. You're purging your makeup? How much do you have?
Too much, that's how much!

I don't mind having a large collection, however, there are so many products
I don't get to use or products I'm using just to use them but there's no love there.
So it was time!

I teamed up with my good friend Jen over at GlamMoms on YouTube
to go through our collections and downsize. Really think about what we love and actually use
versus don't use but just keep around because it's pretty, or we spent the money, or who
knows what other excuses.

Can you believe that is how many blushes I had? I mean, come on! I only have one face!

After a torturous and painful hour, I was able to part with 26 blushes! I honestly thought
I had about 26 to begin with. Not closer to 50!

And this is what I'm left with. Still a whole lotta blush for these two cheeks but
definitely more manageable. These are all blushes I know I like and use.

Now I know this is still excessive, don't get me wrong!
But I'm a makeup junkie and this is what I do ;)

Check out my decluttering process below and let me know if you've done anything
similar whether it be with your makeup, house, clothes, etc.
I love all types of decluttering stories.

Review & Demo: Vera Mona Color Switch Duo

Hey guys, I'm back for another review and I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am...
or actually, I'm about to tell you how excited I am!

I recently reached out to Vera Mona after seeing several reviews on YouTube and
demos on InstaGram and I must say, I was intrigued. Vera Mona sent me their
color switch duo and I was so excited to put it to the test for you.

Here's what Vera Mona has to say about the Color Switch Duo:

"Color Switch Duo by Vera Mona is the only product on the market of its kind!!! It removes the color from eyeshadow brushes helping the makeup artist switch to another color quickly and efficiently. The Duo's unparalleled design includes a centered mini sponge for wet make up application. Nothing else like this exists!! Stroke the eye shadow brush against the Duo sponge to completely remove the color being used and switch to the next. The Duo's uniquely designed centered sponge enhances the color of the eye shadow when applied wet, resulting in a more vibrant look that is true to the pallet, or color being used. Discard wet sponge after every use."

I have to say I am a full believer in this product. I've tested it out over several weeks and
although it's not made to 'clean' your brushes, it removes makeup amazingly from your brushes.

With this sponge you're able to reuse the same brushes for several uses
making it perfect for travel. I love how it cuts down on wash time also. Unlike most people, I love washing my brushes however, it always takes SO long for my brushes to dry. With the Color Switch Duo I don't have to wash my brushes after single use, although I do recommend
washing at least once a week to prevent bacteria growth...ew.

Vera Mona has several options for you:

I would highly recommend these products for any makeup artist or like me,
makeup lover. You won't be disappointed!

Farm Fresh Kitchen & Home Ideas

Hi there! If you follow my blog or my YouTube channel Adriana Pina then you'll know
that I'm part of a CSA, Community Supported Agriculture. We support our local farms and pre-summer season we purchase a half share (justhubby and me!). Every weekend we stop by
our farm and pick out whatever has been harvested. This early on we're gettings lots
of greens, zucchinis, herbs, beets, carrots...we even got strawberries!

With all this fresh produce I have to get creative to make sure I use it all,
I'm a child at heart that does NOT like most veggies. So last week,
I enlisted the help of a friend to pickle cucumbers and make kale chips!

A pic within a pic! Pickled cucumbers (vinegar, dill, garlic, salt, pepper).
Seal for 4-5 days by a window then refridgerate once opened.

I added mint leaves to my ice cube tray. I got so many compliments
when people realized the mint was in the ice cubes!

Kale chips: (garlic, evoo and sea salt, parmesan cheese optional)
Bake at 350 for 5 mins, mix with wooden spoon and bake another 10 mins.

Fresh cut lavender is making my kitchen smell heavenly!

10 Things I'm Thankful For

Recently, my husband had to have surgery for a severed tendon in his wrist. Thank God it went well but I’m not going to lie, it’s been a little rough on both of us. He’s so limited in what he can do and he really needs to take it easy so it can heal. I’m just so thankful that he’s okay and it wasn’t worse.

Life can throw you unexpected curve balls but it’s up to us if we swing or give up. I’m trying my best to stay positive and what better way than to post another 10 Things I’m Grateful For?!?!?

1. I’m SO grateful for the wonderful doctors that operated on my husband.

2. That his surgery went well and his recovery is optimistic.

3. That our insurance covers all of the appointments/physical therapy, amen!

4. For our families, their support and help during this trying time.

5. That my job/boss is understanding that we all have lives outside of work.

6. For my extended YouTube/blog/FB friends praying for us and their kind words that bring a smile to my face.

7. That the weather has been so nice lately!

8. VACATION! We went to Myrtle Beach for 5 days and it’s just what the doctor ordered, no pun intended!
9. My house. My home. Nothing better than coming home.

10. Coffee. Sometimes it’s the only thing getting me through the day…and I’m off to go make some!

What have you been grateful for? I know during trials it
can be difficult to stay positive but I challenge you to come
up with 5 things you’re grateful for and see if you don’t feel
at least a little lighter, a little brighter during the day!

And if you just need a little more help putting a smile on your
face check out some of the blogs on Stone Cottage Adventures!

Planner Junkie 101

And so it's begun....guys really? Another addiction?!

I've always loved scrapbooking but haven't had much time since getting married. Between working full time, being a wife and dog mom my crafting hobbies have pretty much fallen by the waste side.

Sad story.

But recently I have found some amazing YouTube channels and FaceBook pages dedicated to planners/lists and organizing. This girl right here looooves her planners and lists.

I mean, my lists have lists! I'm serious!

So here are just a few pretties and projects you may have seen on Instagram if you follow me!

Finding a planner I love has been easy, finding one that works for me has been nearly impossible. I buy planners and forget about them after a week.

I recently start bullet journaling. If you want a post/video about how to bullet journal comment down below!

I'm using this journal gifted to me by my sister in law and really like it. I love mixing my planner organization with a form of scrapbooking with the decorations. A perfect mix for me!

Do you do donething similar? Let me know so I can further my addiction! And if you want more craft, recipe, diy inspiration check out http://sewcraftyangel.blogspot.com/2014/08/wake-up-wednesday-linky-party-29.html?m=1

Thank you all for spending some time with me and supporting my new obsession!

1. We've booked our upcoming vacation to Myrtle Beach and I'm so excited!

2. The convenience of online shopping...let's be honest, I can't help myself.

3. Working for and with amazing, passionate people. My coworkers inspire me and push me to do even more and I'm so grateful for that.

4. Target sandals. The closest thing to flip flops I can wear to wrok, affordable and so fashionable.

5. My family, they make me laugh and feel safe.

8. My dog, he always makes my list!!!

9. For a supportive husband who forces me to take care of myself…not just everyone else!

10. Supportive bloggers like Katherine over at Katherine's Ccorner. She has helped me at various points in my blogging as a newbie and she's wonderful. Check out her linky party now to see some of the great blogs that have been inspiring me lately!
