10 Things I'm Thankful For

1. We've booked our upcoming vacation to Myrtle Beach and I'm so excited!

2. The convenience of online shopping...let's be honest, I can't help myself.

3. Working for and with amazing, passionate people. My coworkers inspire me and push me to do even more and I'm so grateful for that.

4. Target sandals. The closest thing to flip flops I can wear to wrok, affordable and so fashionable.

5. My family, they make me laugh and feel safe.

6. That my husband and I are on the same work schedule. He used to work nights but the past year has been amazing having him home for dinner. It's the little, and not so little, things.

7. That I’m being given new tasks at work to expand my project works. This is putting me in line for bigger and better things!

8. My dog, he always makes my list!!!

9. For a supportive husband who forces me to take care of myself…not just everyone else!

10. Supportive bloggers like Katherine over at Katherine's Ccorner. She has helped me at various points in my blogging as a newbie and she's wonderful. Check out her linky party now to see some of the great blogs that have been inspiring me lately!

Unboxing & Review: Influenster VowVoxBox

Welcome back! Today I wanted to share with you the most recent VowVoxBox sent to me from Influenster. Influenster is a great site that sends you free products to try and honestly review…emphasis on FREE. I love this site because I do love reviewing products to help you all in your decision on what to try and what may or may not work for you.

The VowVoxBox was really exciting for me because it's a mix of beauty, nails, skincare and handy little items like the TideToGo pen. I have a few of these hanging around my house and I love them. I have one in my purse at all times because it never fails, I will always spill something on my new shirt or get ink on my jeans (yes that happened just a few hours ago). Such is life. The TideToGo was a great addition to this box because it’s something I know I love and will continue to use and repurchase.

My last post was a review on the Pure Silk Shave Cream so I won’t bore you and repeat. Just check out the previous post!

I was excited to try the #EcoTools Pure Complexion Facial Sponge because I know there are several high end versions and drugstore ‘dupes’. I was mesmerized by the rough texture that becomes soft when moistened. The sponge serves as a great exfoliator for sensitive skin.

I added different face cleansers from Mario Badescu cleansing gel to Neutrogena face wash and really enjoy it. It does take a little while for the sponge to soften with water however, not long enough to really get annoyed. I’d definitely recommend this product if you’re looking for a deeper cleanse than you can give with just your fingers.

The one item I was beyond eager to try was the Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream. Full sized this cream is $30+ at the drugstore. The packaging is beautiful as you can see but lets get down to business. I won’t go into too much detail since I might do a separate blog post/YouTube review but let me tell you: I reallllllly like this face cream.

I’m a huge skin care nut and love trying new things. I don’t have to worry much since my skin isn’t sensitive, thumbs up for my face! Creamy, silky, moisturizing, I just love this stuff. Warning, you only need a little dab for your entire face. At over $30, you don’t want to waste this product. But I definitely think it’s worth it if you’re willing to shell out the money. It is pricey for drugstore but honestly better than anything I’ve tried from the drugstore. #BestBeautiful

The last item I received was the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Polish in Barracuda. Love love love! I got so many compliments when I wore this beautiful light sky blue! I always use a base and top coat but even then some polishes don’t last long. This line from Sally Hansen usually lasts 5-6 days on my nails. Again, love!

I hope this was helpful for you guys. It does take time to use, test, review, post etc. for each product and build points on Influenster but I think it’s totally worth it if you have the time (and energy). I was so excited to get these products and to have actually liked them all is an extra bonus! Comment your email address below if you want the link to join.

Let me know if you have tried anything and if so what are your thoughts? Would you spend $30 on a drugstore face cream…or any face cream for that matter? Share with us! And while you're at it,

I hope you enjoyed these reviews. Don’t forget to comment below and…Stay Beautiful & Stay Blessed!

TIGI Bed Head Wave Runner Review & Demo

Here I am again with another review and demo, but I can't help myself...
I love it!

Today I'm sharing my thoughts ont he TIGI Bed Head Wave Runner. If you want to see the live demo check out my YouTube video below!

This is a $25, 2 barreled wand that you clamp down on your hair for a few seconds and
presto, perfect waves! Only it’s not that simple. You clamp down, open, carefully move the
wand down a few inches and repeat. Sounds a bit tedious right?

Well, because it is.

Let me specify that I have super dry hair that is somewhere in the middle of curly and wavy. It takes me about 20 minutes to flat iron and 40 minutes to curl with my NUME clipless wand. The Wave Runner took a full hour and I had to use a LOT of hairspray to get it to stay.

But it does look beautiful. I actually love the mermaid-like waves this hair tool leaves me with. What about the next day, you ask? Don’t count on waking up with loose casual waves. I had to use a flatiron to get my hair in normal condition again so the beauty is short lived. I hope I’m not coming off as a negative Nancy but I’m just kind of floundering in the middle of not loving it not hating it.

The look it gives is amazing but everything else was a turnoff. How long it took, lack of
staying power, my hair getting caught in the screws. Yikes! Now, if your hair is a bit
shorter than mine or finer I think this could be the product for you! It wouldn’t take
nearly as long and might even hold a better wave. Check out the video below:

The Wave Runner is genius for creating that unique mermaid look that everyone is loving right now. But I got places to go and people to see. I don’t have time to just be sitting there for an hour!

So all in all, I would give the Wave Runner a 3 out of 5 stars. Results are great,
price isn’t bad but the process is just too tedious for this gal!

10 Things I'm Thankful For!

Oops, I forgot to do this last week! But that's okay right???

1. My beautiful garden. Tulips, hyacinth, and azaleas are blooming!

2. Sunshine, it has been so sunny (sometimes chilly but the sun is out) and might even hit 80 in a few days!

3. Massages every month, I wish it was weekly but beggars can’t be choosers!

4. Exclamation marks!!! They so adequately express how I feel about things I’m grateful for.

5. Gatorade – an integral part of getting me back into a healthy state.

6. Skincare! After being sick all last week my skin needed a serious mask and this Coconut Ultra Hydrating Shae Butter Mask was just what the doctor ordered.

7. Icy Hot – yes, icy hot. Hubby has been playing a lot of sports and that’s the only thing keeping him moving.

8. Long walks…in the woods…with my dog!

9. A hot husband…literally. I’m always freezing at night and he’s just the opposite. After some grumbling he always lets me cuddle close to steal his warmth.

10. My momma…she was on vacation and coming home today. I missed her so much!

So what are YOU thankful for?
